New Member Guide

Welcome to Corrupted Intellects Guild

Corrupted Intellects Guild (CIG) is a relatively new guild based out of Fort Sterling welcoming mature players who are interested and would like to enjoy progression with us through everything that Albion Online has to offer. We are a group of casual, yet serious players, who understand that real life comes before a game. That being said, we do not require or enforce our members to do anything but enjoy the game when you want and can!

We welcome every type of player on Albion into our guild, regardless of how long you've been playing the game. If there's one thing we're more than happy to do, it's helping you! While we are generally accepting we DO NOT tolerate those who are ignorant or are mean, disrespectful, or attempt to bully any member of the game, regardless if they are in our guild or not.

Back-Story:

Corrupted Intellects originally started under the name Fort Sterling Supply Guild (FSSG), which featured a maxed guild island with every crafting/refining station leveled to tier V. The owners realized that FSSG is not a very enticing or engaging name, and that we are not here to be misunderstood or misrepresented simply because of a lack of reception due to the guild name alone. Thus, Corrupted Intellects was founded.

Simple Guild Rules:
  1. Please be nice and respectful to everyone. If you don't have something nice to say, either don't speak or leave.
  2. You absolutely must have a Discord. This is the main form of communication for the guild where updates, event news/signup, etc. will be posted.
  3. Racism, Sexism, Hate-Speech, etc. is NOT allowed and will result in immediate banishment from the guild.
  4. No NSFW (Porn, Gore, etc...) content is allowed in the Discord chat.
  5. Do not spam the chat.
  6. Inactivity from the game for longer than 14 days since your last login without reasoning will result in immediate banishment.
  7. You must react to update post in the guild so that we know that you're on the same page as everyone else with the guild plans.
  8. Most importantly, have FUN!

Getting Started with Corrupted Intellects:

If you are completed new to Albion Online, please take the time to read this excellent beginner's guide that briefly covers everything you need to know to get started prior to reading the rest this post: Albion Online: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide

As you previously read, Corrupted Intellects originally started as FSSG. To prevent having to start from scratch with a new guild island, we decided to make a work around so that all members of CIG can still use the original island and all the tier V stations on it. We only use the FSSG island for crafting/refining, and have an island for CIG strictly for banking and resource/gear donations.

Both guild islands are based out of Fort Sterling, and can be accessed via the travel merchant, indicated by the icon on the map highlighted below.

Once you have reached the island merchant and have clicked on the NPC, you will see three tabs that are available depending on your access rights to player/guild islands. To get to the original FSSG island for crafting/refining, click the third tab from the top, shown below:

The guild island has every crafting and refining station you will need up to Tier V items. The advantage of using the guild island to craft/refine vs doing so in the city is that in the city you are going to pay absurd tax fees, anywhere from 50-80% for the associated crafting/refining you are doing. On the guild island, the tax is only 20%. The income that comes from this 20% tax is directly put back in to feeding each building so that you all can continue to use them! The guild island with each building can be seen pictured below:
Again, please note that we DO NOT use the bank on this (FSSG) island. The main guild bank where you is located on the CIG island, which can be navigated to by again talking to the island merchant NPC and selecting the tab pictured below:

The CIG guild island bank has two tabs: "Your Personal Bank" & "Guild Donations". The "Your Personal Bank" tab is exactly that, and is a tab specific to your player and only accessible by you! The guild donations tab is where any member of the build can deposit items that the guild will use specifically for the guild and our members. The guild donation tab is not accessible to members for withdrawal!

Membership Rewards:

Your contributions to the guild mean everything to our success and progression, whether it be simply playing the game itself, or donating to the guilds donation bank. Everything is tracked within the guild, including your tax contributions, fame experience for crafting - gathering - PvE - PvP, and your individual player balance. Albion makes it very easy to see the top players in each of these categories on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. That being said, we will be implementing weekly and monthly rewards for certain categories starting on Sunday, 4/26.

Rewards will range from new mounts, gear, items, silver, and even FREE Premium status. Please keep an eye out in the Discord Master Updates Channel for more information to come very soon!

Guild Events:

Guild Events will be implemented upon a 50 active members joining the guild, and will be available for signup through the discord channel for various recurring events. Sign ups will allow you all to know who's doing what, when, and if there's enough people to make it worth while. THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED, and are only meant to help each and every member progress alongside the guild within Albion.

These events will primarily start off with Blue, Yellow, and Red Zone dungeon runs, Arena Battles, Expeditions, Gathering Runs, and eventually expeditions. We will also host Black Zone runs from time to time, increasing the rate of them as our membership grows. When we do Black Zone runs, all members who participate will be reimbursed ALL of their gear if they were to die up to Tier IV. This is a great way for us and you to test out the risky Black Zones with little to no risk.

During most events such as dungeon runs, the guild tax will be increased to 75% for the entirety of the event. This is because dungeons are primarily for fame and loot, and the little coins that the mobs drop will contribute to the guilds finances and its progression, allowing us to provide a better experience for you!

Tax Rate:

Anytime outside of an event, the Tax Rate for the guild will be strictly set to 15%. What is this you might ask? Tax Rate is applied to any silver that is obtained from killing mobs. So if a mob drops 100 silver, 15 of that silver will go directly into the guilds silver account. This silver will ONLY be used and applied directly back into the guild, rewards for members, etc. and will never be used for personal gain or benefit by the administration team.

In-Game Guild Chat

Whenever we are in the game, we always encourage member engagement with one another! With that please make sure to attend to the Guild Chat tab located in the chat window within Albion Online. Don't be afraid to say Hi, as we are all very friendly and are more than excited to have you as a member! Being social within the game makes it all the more fun, and besides, online friends are the BEST friends!

Conclusion

This concludes the welcome/introduction post to CIG. We cannot wait for what's to come in the future and are thrilled to have you as a part of the team! We will be pushing towards late game content, but we are in no rush and are here to have fun first!

Best Regards,

LadyStealthKashe
